Internet access does not seem to be freely available, and by that I mean I’m not finding it very “free” or very “available”, but I guess that I’ve just not got into the swing of being in, or looking in, the right places at the right times. So this explains the sporadic reportage, ok!
We’ve visited some really great little places along the coast of Brittanny, Locmariaquer being one. An overnight stay, which turned into several, right beside the beach with wonderful sunsets and huge activity in the morning at low tide as the locals came to search for cockles. Armed with their buckets or wire baskets lined with seaweed if your a ‘lady’, rakes of various sizes and lengths and most essential, wellies, waders or full waterproof dungarees for the truly serious cocklers!
For anyone who has been to the Isles of Scilly, here is so reminiscent of St.Mary’s and Tresco, you could easily be on one of those beautiful islands as you look out across any one of the sandy bays here. It’s so quiet, although many of the houses are shuttered and there is only a little sign of local activity. Some of the few shops are making obvious preparations for the oncoming season, this is apparantly a popular spot for Parisiens to spend their weekends. It’s great here now though!!
